First-hand, then checked
Guides are written from personal experience of the places covered. Practical details are checked against official sources before publishing. These include prices, timetables, opening hours and entry rules. Where I haven’t visited somewhere myself, I say so.
Kept up to date
Portugal changes: transport fares rise, restaurants close and rules get revised. Practical guides show a ‘last checked’ date at the top, and I review my most-used guides at least every six months. If a page hasn’t been checked recently, treat time-sensitive details with care and confirm them before you travel.
Independent recommendations
- Recommendations are never paid for. Nobody can buy a place on a list or a better review.
- If I’m given a free stay, meal, or tour, I will say so clearly on the page. It doesn’t guarantee positive coverage.
- Sponsored content, if I ever publish it, is clearly labelled as sponsored.
